BRACES TECHNOLOGY

Braces, as many of you are aware, consist of the individual brackets that are glued directly on to the teeth and the wires that deliver the forces and straighten the teeth. Braces technology and design has really improved over the years with the brackets getting smaller and flatter and the edges getting smoother and rounder. The end result is that our braces are some of the most comfortable ones around, with minimal irritation of the cheeks, lips and soft tissues.

 

Our orthodontic wires are made with specially formulated space age metals that are designed to deliver light and gentle forces over longer periods of time. This means less pain and longer time intervals between appointments so patients miss less school and parents miss less work! Of course you can also choose from a wide assortment of multi colored elastic ties and rubber bands that are used to hook the wires up to the braces. Try your school colors, or perhaps seasonal holiday colors, or even colors coordinated with your cool outfits.

 

Although the majority of our teen age patients love our multicolored metal braces, many of our adult patients choose the clear ceramic or plastic brackets for that “nearly invisible” orthodontic look. These cosmetic braces are extremely inconspicuous, and yet are able to deliver the proper force levels to rapidly create the results we need.
